In 2014 Raison d’Etre started integrating its own spa brand LivNordic, which included the very first sea faring snow grotto, exclusively on Viking Cruise Ships. An important part of this journey was for us to implement the Raison d’Etre values that are inspired by a passion and love for life, wellness and service. These values have been the foundation of all of our award winning land-based spas since 1998 and we are now bringing them to the world’s oceans and rivers.


We took the best that our Nordic Wellness has to offer and put it into our spas: From Scandinavian inspired design to innovative wellbeing programs, including Nordic fitness, nutrition, beauty and products, accumulating in our famous Nordic Bathing Rituals. In short, our mission is to infuse our Nordic heart into the cruise ship spa industry.


Raison d’Etre offers a fresh approach to spa and wellness experiences at sea with a focus on developing people and services to allow guests to reach the most authentic level of their personal wellbeing through the creative concepts we create and relationships we inspire.
